There may be other more robust and complete dictionary and translation apps out there, but the ability in split screen to be able to copy a word or phrase in one app and have it automatically populate into Linguee makes this my go-to iPad app now

i really like using linguee in different situations, one word but also full sentence searches. Based on my experience, it always helps me getting out of language difficult situations on a personal and professional point of view. In a nutshell, thanks for this wonderfull, practical and free app.

A strong, efficient dictionary. Lacks conjugated forms but is very flexible and fast. The app provides living, breathing examples of the word of interest, which is very helpful. One request: the user could save one key stroke between words if the interface was changed to an empty (rather than still-populated, as is the case when a word is selected).

Its great for many things. In my case, Im studying German and Im very impressed with how complete this dictionary is. Even has pronunciation! Wow! This app just earned its spot in my first home page.

I like the app a lot, it is easy to use and very helpful when a common saying in a foreign language is sought and the dictionary translator cannot help. It is not great that one cannot easily copy the results. I find the process lacks ease. Often, in German, the translations are also not matched up correctly. Otherwise, linguee has been great. I would love to see more casual day to day text instead of only business text. Thank you!

I work in the medical field and I interpret for Spanish speaking patients. And this app is very helpful and helps me with some medical terminology. I recommend this app. I also like the fact that I can download the offline dictionary. When I dont have cellular data in the hospital.

Im a singer and use this app to translate and also talk to friends in German and I can not express how thankful I am to this app. Always accurate and very useful and quick

I use this for work all the time when Im not in front of a desktop. If you are learning Spanish this might not be the best app since not all of the translations provided are correct, but for translators and linguists it is a great mobile tool.

The best of a dictionary and real-life translations in context. The app functions quickly and has no ads. For verb conjugations, you will need another app. I like the Larousse app (the cheaper one).

I love this app, recently I have discovered the app! I didnt know it, just today! I Always was in the website, and is very fascinate that find the exact translate that Im looking it at in examples of books. Im very sure 100% that is accurate and precise all my texts and translates

This app shows you actual examples of German / English translations culled from the Web. It also provides definitions, or examples of use with translations, of those uniquely German long compound words that are often missing from dictionaries.

I found this App thru their website and its almost perfect but a significant feature to me. I would like to see above of the translation of the word, the Synonyms of it in the original language.

This app allows you to see words and phrases as they are actually used. In many respects, it is better than the 25-dollar dictionary app that I also have installed in my iPhone. Be careful, though. Some of the translations are not correct.

I really like this app as it gives several definitions for each word and often gives checked example sentences in addition to the external source examples. You can also type in words for fast translations without loading the whole entry page. It also includes noun genders and plurals, although these are in separate entries for some reason. I would complain that verbs are not conjugated, so in German, for example, I cant tell is a verb is strong or weak, or if it has a separable prefix. It can also sometimes be somewhat slow, even though it says Ive downloaded the dictionary I want for offline use. However, overall it is a very good dictionary app.

I love the Linguee website and downloaded the app to use on the go. Works like a charm!
