Very helpful app.

This is a fantastic app. It not only gives you definitions of puts the word in many contexts!

Very helpful Loved the hidden gems in it and the integration with the share menu. It would have been a killer if it could pronounce/read all the sentences on the screen.

Absolutely amazing app to learn Portuguese. Nothing comes close to that when you reach intermediate and advance level in Portuguese. Cant live without it now.

Quick, accurate and informative definitions of words. This is a good way too learn vocabulary when youre trying to learn a language. Id only use it to learn one word at a time. If youre trying to communicate with someone in-person Google Translate is a better fit.

Great app, best of all I tried by far. Wish they would include a full dictionary in each language.

I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking translations of English to German or the reverse- great offline capacities, huge array of in context translations, and very good one word translations given. Very rarely do I have to look elsewhere and generally for a super abstruse or antiquated word. There are many other languages supported, but I have no experience with those.

includes gender of noun (sachlich = neuter ; weiblich = feminine ; mannlich = masculine) its free and works offline.

Very useful app for English speakers learning German. It doesnt just define the word but gives many examples of usage.

Worth to b best

This is one of my all-time favorite apps. Im an American at a German university, and its intelligent translation beat other sources every time, especially since its offline AND translates idioms. I spend half my day on your app and website. However, as of recently, the apps been crashing on me almost constantly. I love you, Linguee, any words to the wise?

Great tool!

Hands down THE BEST german-english dictionary out there! Very intuitive and much more helpful than any of my expensive printed books or any other software out there (and I think Ive tried most). Not only will you find within this app refular word definitions, but also composed words (very, very tricky when trying to learn german) conjugated verbs, idioms, usage examples and context-mindful translations other people made of those words (or frases) throughout the web. Works its best when connected to the internet, but it also gives you the choice to download a comprehensive dictionary to use offline and a memory function so you can easily revisit your last queries. Can you ask for anything more? Oh, yes... the good folks at Linguee offer all of this for FREE. Do not waist your hard earned elsewhere before giving this neat app a chance.

Im an English speaker and I appreciate being able to read various permutations of English idioms instantly and thoroughly matched with real content written in German. Ive never encountered a translation tool like this app and it is most welcome.

I use this dictionary a lot, but would love to see an iPad version!

Has most words. Better than other free and paid for dictionaries.
